Recently visited the Wind Farms in Edithburgh in the Yorke Peninsula, here are a few shots I brought back.

I found it really hard to capture the size of these things, they tower over you and make an incredible whirring sound as the blades rotate towards you, if you ever get the chance to see some please do they are amazing.

Howdy Isaac,

We saw hundreds of these in some really big fields whilst we were in Canada a few years ago...Never saw anything like it ! They just seemed to go for miles & miles... Amazing.

I am suprised they have not taken off here in the more windy areas... I watched a show where a guy in Sweden (?) has invented a different type all together, for use with very light winds, and for mounting on the top of buildings, it uses the currents generated between the buildings.

And each unit produces enough for the average house ! So with our elec bills nudging $700 I cant wait for them to be on the market later this year !!

Faced with the challenge of the wind farm at Windy Hill, on the Atherton Tableland, I didn't do nearly so well as this – I especially admire your vision in lining up the towers in the first shot.
