I always shoot in colour, but I thought I would see what happened when I went black and white, comments welcome, for the record I like to use a forground subject occasionally :-)

The 1st doesn't do much for me, I think it's because the composition seems awkward with that branch coming out of the rock & leading out of the frame. The 2nd shot is very well done. Exposure looks great & the slow water effect looks cool. The BW conversion in both are also well done.
