I guess this is the best place for this one. It looks like a special effect but it is really just a very simple shot.
I was having fun playing last night. Working on the subject 'movement' and I came up with this one.
I think it looks like a phoenix.
Does it 'say' movement to anyone?

I really like it Rebecca - but I don't know if it is the movement that you would want for a theme. When I looked at it, I was impressed, but then wondered what it was too. I am seeing it as some sort of flame, but wondered if a vertical version would create more of the fluid 'movement' that you were after.
Then again, you captured smoke on slide and after trying smoke lol I am sure your version is just what you were after!
And echo above - cool capture!

Thanks guys!
This is actually blue food colouring in a glass bowl of water on a white background and I negatived it in photoshop.
I was actually setting up to do some water drop photos and took this shot to check my exposure while waiting for the dye to mix. I thought it looked interesting when I saw it on the computer so I inverted it just see what would happen and got this.
Sometimes the best things are flukes.
I've set myself a bit of a challege to capture movement without resorting to motion blur so my idea was to 'freeze' water drops in motion and hope they still said 'movement'
