Thanks I think it sharpen ups Ok, uploading to 'Gallery' and using the gallery compression algorithims seems to knock the s***t out of pics, it was used for exhibition invites and looked fine..taken with a canon G4 btw

Nahhhhhhhhhh you're WRONG! I heard from a very reliable source once, that what you see online is like JUST IS! Compression does nada to your online image, regardless of you acknowledging that compression has affected the original saved TIF.

Get with the programme sheesh - online is ALL!

Erm, you do loose quality when you compress anything. Mike must have just compressed it quite significantly. Whoever said you don't loose quality needs their head checked. :P
