Hey all, I'm new to this forum, I've been doing media for VCE and I had my first real shot at shooting some serious photos recently. I shot a roll at night in melbourne, mainly experimenting with long exposure shots. I'm fairly new to the whole photography scene. I've got a minolta XG-1, with a couple of lenses (one is really, really big :P). Wondering if I could have a little feedback on this shot. (I had to scan and change the contrast a little after development in the darkroom).

Hi Cam,

Stop looking, I found the pic... :)

It looks very eerie (spelling) and a 'cold' place to be, maybe it is how you wanted it to be ?

yeah i agree.... looks like a scary place to be at night!

I think it would look cool in a seiries of scary shots... idea for you?

I like it. The lighting of the sky, the warped look of the reflections in the water, and the ghosts on the right make it feel.. otherworldly.

What film where you using? How long was the exposure?

Thanks for the feedback :)

Atlas: haha yeah, it was actually getting fairly cold at that stage!

peakey: I'm actually in need of some sort of theme for my next outcome; could come in handy, cheers.

rdx: Thanks mate, I used high speed film (not sure of the exact asa) but it was a fairly long exposure, around 3 or 4 seconds I think.

Hi there Cam,

At first look I thought the tripod must have moved at the last second, but after looking at it more it just holds my attention. Nice work. Something is there that I just can't put a finger on and thats what makes me keep looking at it.

Cheers
