Hi
The names Mark
Been using Nikon 35mm for the last 30+ years and have just purchased a new D200 in an effort to improve my 35mm work.
My fav photos are animals especially predators such as the big cats. Used to do a lot of underwater pics in both sport diving and some commercial work.
For a living I'm a mech engineer with a electricity supply company.

My partner Noeleen is going on "safari" to the southern half of Africa within the next year but her intention is to stay in tents and generally rough it for 4-6 weeks. She is looking to go from Namibia to Lake Vic then down to East Sth Africa. Me, I would "tolerate" 4 star but when it gets to tents, been there done that as a kid and never again. I'm not one for hot places such as asia or africa. We certainly cant afford the game lodges for this sort of time especially with the two of us.
I can wait for our trip to Alaska around 2010/2011 for some bear shots in Churchill. :) :) :)

wow, sounds like an awesome trip. tents are ok, although i'm not sure about being in a tent in africa.... i just know something will at least try and eat me...
Alaska would be great. Try and go when the salmon are spawning. Then you'll get to see the bears at work! And imagine the photos!!
