No photoshopping in this 22 second exposure (or in any of my photos)
Guess how it was done. Took me a day to set up.

I think Charmed is referring to what looks like a power lead running below it. I think that whats powering the Tesla Coil :D

So my guess you took a photo of the scene maybe off a game on your computer. I am guessing and probably way off.

The "power lead" was a simple earth wire and was redundant. It would improve safety marginally in fault situations. Doing nothing in this photo.

No photographic alteration other than a time exposure. Certainly no photoshopping. I keep having to defend my position on this with this photo. As your admin says, the details are on the website (http://tesladownunder.com/tesla_coil_sparks.htm#Rotating%20long%20breakout%2 0point).

Here is a different photo in testing. Imagine the vertical rod connected to a Tesla coil rotating around me. I have an earthed chain mail glove connected to a grounded plate I am standing on.

Thanks for explaining and its a cool effect. Love the website certainly is unique.
