Okay, first go at fireworks.
They are really noisy, and I exposed them for waaaaaaaaay too long, they are a bit shaky-looking because I couldn't find my shutter remote (but found it today of course!)...
...but I think I will do much better next time (another fireworks oppurtunity coming up in Feb).
So be nice, it was my first time, here are the best or most interesting 5 shots. Ended up with about 12 decent ones, it was a fairly long fireworks show.
All shots were ISO 100, f8, some were MF others were AF:
Exposed for 9 secs:

They are by far better than any fireworks shots ive ever taken!
Props! *thumbs up*
Be nice  They are excellent.
You took the time beforehand to get things right and it shows. Even managed to get some water and trees exposed which,to me anyway, adds interest. I would be happy with these photos. Difficult to see much noise on my monitor so I'm assuming it would only need a little photoshop work to finish them off nicely.
I see your exposures were quite long, try a larger aperture than f8 to reduce exposure time and noise. Maybe f5.6 You'll have to practice on street lights before the Feb show.
PS We expect the February ones to be published in the local newspapers at least. :)
thenoise has been all but lost in the downsampling of your images for we.
well done - they look great.
love no 2

Hi LA,
You have done very well with these. Unlike some I have seen you can actually see the different colours.
Good Stuff.

But I'm wondering if the larger aperture might cut down on on the colour saturation- the colours are excellent as they are.
I guess I'd be trying all sorts of combinations to see which works best.

I had a quick play on Pic #3 (fire4.jpg), just using MS Office Picture Manager. It's only when I did that that I realised that the lower two fireworks had a nice blue trail, which was not particularly evident in the original pic.
You may like to play using amore sophisticated tool.
Excellent job, they look fantastic
Wow they are great my fave is #4 it almost looks like a love heart firework, good one to print on a card for valentines day for your significant other!!!!:)
