;)

I'm probably new to photography compared to everyone else on here.
I bought a Canon Powershot S45 as my first camera, allowing semi-SLR functionality, and I guess it was my first exposure to photography, allowing me to experiment many different things.

I didn't take photography that seriously until I bought my NikoN D70 last February. The death of my Canon was not foreseen, and I have spent alot of time with my D70. Its like a best friend. *har har*

At the moment, photography is my escape as amongst many other different things from reality. I guess one day I would love to take it seriously and possibly as a profession, but I say thats still far away.

I have self taught myself through trial and error, and have had no professional training although I would like to one day. Just to learn shortcuts, or theory and any knowledge that make me a better photographer. I've kinda been looking for a photography forum, and I have Mike to thank for that haha.

I tend to focus on B&W Photography and Portrait Photography.
I am also currently freelance photographing for some night clubs around Sydney.

Hope we can all share the knowledge.

Thanks. :)

Welcome Jasey.. I am yet to tackle portraits but like anything.. it's a matter of giving it a go. Most of my 'skills' are from trial and error... so you are not alone in that !
