but I didn't know where to post it...

OK, so its christmas and I'm thinkin of making stuff this year where I can for friends and family. Been a while since I actually thought about a present other then just buying one.

SO!

My mate (best bud lol) has just moved into a brand new house and is decorating his room. His colour scheme is black and red (his fav colour is red). He asked me to take some shots of Melbourne for his wall cause he recently moved back to Sydney to be with the family.

But I decided to make something a little more personal. These are THREE photos. I used a red globe in my normal light socket thingy on my ceiling and tried to write his name, NIC, in red light.

I'm thinking of getting them printed at say 8x10 size and mounting them for him to stick on his wall.

Enough of the random babble and back story. Thoughts?

This is really cool.
This is the sort of thing I'd hang on my wall, but then I have a bright red wall. I like red.
They'd look good block mounted or as canvas.
Have you tried them in portrait orientation or as squares?
Have you tried painting with a laser pointer?
This was taken about this time last year. I used a laser pointer on a white wall in a completely dark room. 10 second exposure on a tripod. Just cause I was bored one night and I like to play with long exposures.

lol, that looks great!

I re-did these last night and am getting them printed today. I will probably block mount them for the time being.

Want to see if he likes them first before maybe trying the canvas.

I might have to find my laser pointer lol....very cool effect. I like long expsre shots too.... Always looking for different things to funk up.
