I have been playing around with converting to B&W & thought this one came out quite well:

Yes I like the second one as well, the first one cant just put my finger on but it makes my eyes dance all over the place maybe to sharp.
I would like to see the second in Sepia .
Well done.

Yeh, the first one doesnt really do anything for me, Probably because of that restaurant or whatever it is. Actually the bridge looks pretty ugly too. (I mean the actual bridge not the photography)
But that second one is brilliant, i love that one

I know what you mean about the first, composition is not great & it does look a little too sharp...LOL, but the B&W conversion is good, LOL...
Here is the second scene in colour:

I'll have a go at it in sepia when I get a chance, I haven't really done much sepia, so should be interesting to see if I can get the tones right.
Another bridge shot...not quite right either but OK for a first attempt I think:

Hi Vicki nothing wrong with the frame, Have you been playing with it in editing to give it the panoramic style look.
I did not notice at first but on the right the buildings are leaning over to the left and the stonebuilding of the bridge if you are useing adobe try useing perspective to stand them up and recrop if needed.
Good shot. on all of them.
