Hi,
I've just joined and I'm reading through all the posts here trying to get a feel for the place.
I been into photography for many years but only recently started putting more time into it.
I joined a local camera club the end of last year so I've enjoyed this year of sharing and learning, in particular the monthly set subjects which have made me get out of my natural environment and take photos I wouldn't normally.
Anyway camera club is about to wind up for the year and wont meet again until Feb so I need something to keep me going. This looks like a good place to play if you'll have me :)
Actually I don't know how much of camera club I'll be doing next year considering my son will be hitting the terrible twos in Feb but hopefully I'll be well and truly settled here by then.
I shoot mainly digital these days. I have a Canon 20D and a 10D and an assortment of lenses. My favourite lens is my Tamron 90mm macro and my 'walk around' lens is a Sigma 18-125mm.
I also have 2 canon film SLRs and a Pentax (currently broken) but it takes me ages to finish off a roll of slide film these days.
Cheers,
Rebecca.

Hi Rebecca , Just new here myself and it seems like a great place.
I really like my Tamron 90mm as well , the bokeh this lense produces is superb.

Hi Rebecca and Framed. I'v had a look at a number of these sites over the last year and this one is by far the best. Not to big (yet) and not to small, some thing new everyday. There are a couple of people here that really spend the time with their posts helping us learners out.
I'm shacked up at the mother in laws while our new house is finished (no one wants to rent out a house to some one with 4 kids) and have spent more time collecting gear than taking photos, so I don't post much. I do enjoy looking at what others are up to, in particular how we are capturing our rugrats (have seen your B & W entry Rebecca, looks good)
Anyway hope you stick around and look forward to seeing your work.
Alex,
P.S. That 90mm Tamron is next on my hit list.

Thanks for the welcome everyone.
