I'd offer, but we are located in Perth.

Wow this is a great chance for someone who wants extra experience (or to start off) because you are willing to take on an amateur.
All the best, and congrates!

my parents let an amature take their pics.. and they used top notch film slr's..
at the end of the wedding they realized they had no film.. so my parents aint got photo's.

just make sure hes got his head screwed on right. :P

That's the funniest post I've ever read on here.
I did that once, but luckliy not for anything important like a wedding.
It's something you only ever do once.
Thank god for digital hey ?

Unless you have shoot without cf card enabled and forget to throw the fresh formatted cards in the camera lol
not sure about the 30d, but the 1d3 comes up with a big message on the screen that there are no cards in either of the slots as you take a shot.
I guess theoretically it's possible to do a shoot without any cards installed, but I normally use the screen as a double check to make sure I've got my lighting correct before I start shooting in anger.

I think any camera can be set to let you shoot without the CF card or not. I always set it to not let me shooting blank. Then there comes another problem, forgot to recharge the battery :D
