This is the cross on top of Mt Macedon. I took this in raw and made the blue more stark. Hit me with comments and criticism please !

Great photo, i have a feeling i've been to this, is it far from Bendigo?... the only tiny little thing i'd do is photoshop that little line break below the "crossbar" for lack of a better word. just to make it appear more like one piece.

I have to say, although i'm not a very religious person, when people build huge monuments like this, i can't help but feel a sense of awe. I'd love to go see that big Jesus statue in Rio.

I thought about the crossbar thing early on in the piece but decided to leave it there ... perhaps it was a error :) It's about half way between melbourne and bendigo , on top of a very large hill. You can see the mountains from most parts of melbourne but the cross is hard to see unless you are a lot closer because of the trees.
I am with you... standing under the thing ( it's got to be 20-30m high ) is does inspire awe. I would love to go and see the statue in Rio too ... I'll get there one day I spose.

Yup i'm sure thats the one i've been to. Unfortunately on the day i went it was extremely cold and windy and snowing lightly.

Hi there XA,

To be honest I prefer the first shot. The second appears that the whole cross has been photoshopped into a loverly blue sky. The join across the middle indicates the two peices used to construct the cross.

Just my 0.2 cents worth.
