Hi,

I just went to a friend's wedding as a guest and not as a photographer for the wedding. Most of my shots are from the position that i was sitted (in church and in reception). I do not get the chance to get too close with the couple.

However, i had complied a flash animated PhotoBook for them.

The site below required Flash Player 10.

They look great, after they saw that they may have wished they'd hired you as their photographer ;)

(I have seen some really dodgy professional wedding shots lately :( )

Scott. these photos look under-exposed and have a slight yellow cast to the white balance..

How much PP has been done to them?

Thanks Albert,

Thanks Simon. Yes, i agreed that some of the pictures are under exposed. I cant really determine how much PP is done. no flash was used in all photos. Trying to learnt the flashless skills. that's y i had another questions on ISO in this forum. :)

I converted some of the underexposed pics to black & white. any tips to cure underexp pics?

Yes, i bump up the yellow in the picture to get the traditional classical touch.

PP done were either
1. some colour booost
2. some blurring effect
3. some sharpness added.
4. standard lens vignet added for almost all pictures.

They hired 4 pros photographers and they just formed a soccer wall in front of the couple. I was not able to get clear good shots of them in critical moments. - not even from the guests' view. :(

I know how frustrating that can be at times, they are there for a job though so its something you really have to persist at. if you use photoshop, there is an exposure setting and you can bump JPG files up at least 1 stop before it starts to get grainy.

You have done well considering the circumstances. what lenses did you use?

Thanks Simon,

My kits are canon 450D and it's standard lens 18-55m. the aussie dollar is stopping me to buy more lenses. The pictures are all taken in RAW.

Perhaps i should increase the exp and not the light fill when i do the import.

thanks for that.

Good thinking.. some wedding photographers use the exposure compensation to actually get faster shots in low light. They purposely take the photo at -1ev and then use the raw feature to up the exposure by 1 stop..

ooh,

BTW, some of the background shots are HDRs. The picture of the interior of the church and the one which the bride and her dad facing the stage.

i'm still not that pro in HDRs... perhaps that explains for the yellow/browny colours

Hi Pepe,

I wrote the codes. To be honest, i am junior Actionscripter and my codes for that Photo book is not the most efficient way to produce the Photobook. The book is not dynamic - it's alot harder to get that into dynamic loading - hope to attain that stage someday.

You will require "Flash CS4" to edit the Photobook.

However, if you want such a Photobook - I can do one for you with your Photos. There are some requirements to be met before i can syc the Pics into the Flash, ie Page sizes.

Thanks for the reply

Sounds way to complicated.
Maybe i will try and master the photos first then move on to the hard stuff.

Thx anyway
