Excuse my ignorance :o but what is HDR???
Looks like a fantastic shot, but I don't know what you've done to it!
Any chance you could put up the original so we can compare?

HDR= High Dymanic Range
Errr....nope, lost them when i kind of formatted my back up DVD!!!
OK, Basically, 3 auto bracketed exposures ate +/- 1EV (Thats all that this camera can handle)
Then ran the three images ( -1EV 0EV and +1EV) through a program called Photomatix.
Once thats done, you get an ugly old photo until you tonemap it, which requires variuos settings.
Perhaps look up HDR groups and images on Flickr, some a really good, some are so-so.
Hope that helps a little

Top image. I have tinkered with a few but haven't come up with anything worthwhile. Practice makes perfect they say...
Thanks for sharing,
Steve.
Photoshop will merge to HDR as well, great looking photo

This is a really good result from HDR... everytime i've tried its been rather uninspiring :) Maybe its my choice of subject, need to plonk myself down on the beach.
Some people say they've had good success using just one Raw image to create HDR. I guess you tweak your levels to output 3 or more images that mimick bracketed exposures and merge those BUT again, i've had little success. :(

And when you get a really good one, its always so satisfying!!!
